DINA SUMMER
Dina Summer ist das gemeinsame Projekt des griechisch-deutschen Dark-Disco-Paares Local Suicide und des bayerischen Produzenten Kalipo, bekannt von der berüchtigten Electro-Punk-Band Frittenbude. Die Supergroup begann 2019 zusammen Musik zu machen und hat seither ihren gemeinsamen Sound stetig weiterentwickelt. Das Ergebnis ist eine einzigartige Mischung ihrer Einflüsse: 80er Italo Disco, New Wave, EBM und früher 2000er Electroclash verschmelzen zu einem düsteren, retro-futuristischen Synth-/Wave-Pop, der mit clubtauglichen Basslines, epischen Melodien und Texten zwischen dadaistischer Abstraktion und empowernden, nachdenklichen Themen hervorsticht.
Mit ihrem zweiten Album Girls Gang, das Anfang dieses Jahres erschien, erweitert das Trio sein Klangspektrum um Elemente aus New Wave, Post-Punk und Synth-Pop. Frühere Veröffentlichungen umfassen das hochgelobte Debütalbum Rimini (2022), das in nostalgischer Retro-Disco verwurzelt ist, sowie die EPs Who Am I (2021) und Hide & Seek (2024). Zudem steuerten sie Beiträge zu Curses’ Next Wave Acid Punx Compilation bei, waren Teil von Purple Mag x Radiooooo’s 2070-Projekt und der Collide Sessions des Reeperbahn Festivals.

Kalipo zählt zu den umtriebigsten und stilistisch vielseitigsten Produzenten Berlins. Wenn er nicht mit seiner legendären Electro-Punk-Band Frittenbude unterwegs ist oder Projekte wie die aufstrebende Dark-Disco-Queen Dina Summer produziert, begeistert er mit seinem Soloprojekt durch treibende elektronische Beats und emotional berührende Melodien.

LOCAL SUICIDE
Das in Berlin ansässige DJ- und Produzenten-Duo Local Suicide ist seit 2008 fester Bestandteil der elektronischen Musikszene. Das griechisch-deutsche Paar machte zunächst durch eigene Events in Berlin auf sich aufmerksam, bevor sie mit ihren eklektischen DJ-Sets, die New Wave, Italo, Indie Dance, Post-Disco, EBM und Dark Techno vereinen, internationale Bekanntheit erlangten.
Als Schlüsselfiguren der Dark Disco Szene umfasst ihre beeindruckende Diskografie über 200 Tracks. Sie arbeiteten mit befreundeten Künstlern wie Curses, Theus Mago, Lena Platonos, Hard Ton, The Hidden Cameras, Rodion, Kalipo, Alejandro Paz, Thomass Jackson, Skelesys & Franz Matthews zusammen und veröffentlichten auf renommierten Labels wie Bordello A Parigi, Duro, Ombra INTL, Lumière Noire, Eskimo, AEON, TAU, Space Factory, Sincopat und Discotexas.
Local Suicide wurden in führenden Medien wie DJ Mag, Mixmag, The Sun, Der Spiegel, FAZE, TRAX, Tsugi & Rolling Stone vorgestellt und traten in der deutschen TV-Serie Fett & Fett (ZDF) auf, in der ihre Musik prominent eingesetzt wurde.
2021 erweiterten sie ihr kreatives Universum mit dem eigenen Label Iptamenos Discos – eine Heimat für ihre eigenen Releases und die von Gleichgesinnten. Ihr Debütalbum Eros Anikate war eines der ersten Highlights. 2023 folgten die eigene Verlagsedition Iptamenos Notes und die Eventreihe Iptamenos Diskotek in Clubs in ganz Europa.
2022 gründeten sie ihr Live-Band-Projekt Dina Summer, das rasch eine treue Fangemeinde in den Dark-Wave-, Synth-Pop- und Goth-Szenen gewann. Die Superband hat seitdem zwei von der Kritik gefeierte Alben veröffentlicht und verkauft Headliner-Shows in ganz Europa aus, während sie Festival-Lineups anführt.

Die Wahlberlinerin Nina Nails ist ein wahrer Musiknerd, was in der Breite und Tiefe ihrer Sets unüberhörbar ist. Je nach Ort und Stimmung, sonniger oder dunkler, steht sie in den Startlöchern, um euch mit ihrem B-Seiten-Knowledge zum Tanzen zu bringen. Dina Summer is the collaborative project of Greek-German dark-disco couple Local Suicide and Bavarian producer Kalipo, from the infamous electro-punk band Frittenbude. The supergroup began working on music together in 2019 and have since been refining their combined sound. It is a unique blend of their influences, drawing from 80s italo disco, new wave, EBM and early 00s electroclash for a dark retro-futuristic synth/wave pop sound that stands out with club-ready basslines, epic melodic hooks, and lyrics ranging from dadaist abstractions to empowering, thought-provoking themes.
With their sophomore album Girls Gang released earlier this year, the trio expands their sonic palette to embrace elements of new wave, post-punk, and synth-pop. Kalipo is one of the busiest and most stylistically complex producers in Berlin.When not on the road with his legendary electro punk band, Frittenbude, or producing for projects like the up-and-coming, dark-disco queen, Dina Summer, the sound of his solo project shines through with driving electronic beats and emotionaly stirring melodies.
He currently looks back on five albums and countless singles and remixes on labels like Christian Löffler's Ki Records, Iptamenos Discos, Audiolith Records, Get Physical, Heimlich Musik, Laut &Luise, Stil vor Talent, Otake and Antime Records.
While sometimes hard and dark, and other times sunny and soulful, his releases always bridge the gap between house, techno and disco. He consistently moves hearts and feet with his live sets and has been working his way into the amygdalas of listeners worldwide for over a decade through his releases, club performances and festival shows. Always unique, always DIY and with exclusively his own productions in his luggage, Kalipo builds an ecstatic sound in which you can only get lost in pleasure!
